Kharkiv National Medical University (KNMU) Ukraine is one of the oldest higher educational establishments of Ukraine. It was founded in 1805 as the Medical Faculty of the Kharkiv University. Kharkiv National Medical University/KNMU was formerly called Kharkiv Medical Institute, Kharkiv National Medical University, and Kharkiv State Medical University.
The Degree (MBBS, BDS, MD, MDS, MS, NURSING) of the Kharkiv National Medical University (KNMU) is prestigious and it is recognized in many countries of the world. Clinical and theoretical training of the students is performed at 56 departments of the University. Kharkiv National Medical University in Ukraine uses modern medical diagnostic and therapeutically equipment, and is technologically updated in their functioning of the daily affairs.
The University is currently training about 8,000 students. Since 1951 the University has been training specialists from foreign countries and at present 2700 foreign students study at KNMU at the Medical and Dentistry Faculties, and also at the postgraduate course.
